EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Dr. Saxena studied at GR Medical College in Gwalior, obtaining the MBBS and MD (Medicine) degrees from Jiwaji University. He has chosen Cardiology as his super-speciality and obtained the DM (Cardiology) postdoctoral degree in 1987 from Mangalore University.
Dr. Saxena served as Registrar of Medicine and Cardiology at Choithram Hospital in Indore for a year. He then moved to Muscat in Oman and worked at The Royal Hospital there as Specialist in Cardiology from August 1987 up to January 1991.
After returning to India, Dr. Saxena has served as a lecturer in Cardiology at the Christian Medical College, Vellore. He then worked as a Fellow in Interventional Cardiology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia for one year. Afterwards, he worked at the Batra Hospital in New Delhi as Senior Consultant Cardiologist. Prior to joining Apollo Hospital, he was posted at the National Heart Institute, New Delhi, as Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist for about 18 months.
